Bumpy Buses and Full of Water

January 12, 2011

On the bus home today, the driver made a stop. But it wasn’t a bus stop, it was a loo stop.

"Look after the bus, make sure nobody steals it. I’m nipping to the loo" says the driver. “Fine” a lady (the only other passenger besides me) and I say. When we saw that his toilet of choice was, to ask the children’s nursery if he could use their toilet, the lady and I started discussing.

We were debating if they would allow him to go in, you know, due to the child protection laws and regulations. But, we were wrong as they let him in. Okay, we’re talking five o’clock at night, and I doubt that there were any children there; maybe that was why? Probably, or rather hopefully; if they are that lax during the day…floods-in-australia_246

Anyway, that toilet wasn’t the only thing filling up today (oh god, sorry)… We must spare a moment to think about those poor Australians. Whose lives have been, to say the least, severely disrupted. Living in Great Britain, we don’t often have major natural disasters, our most recent ‘mishap’ was an earthquake that nobody felt, and only knew about a few hours later thanks to BBC news… Let’s just spare a though for them.

On a more positive, I have decided that I’m going to attempt to do WordPress’ Blog a Day for the whole of 2011 Challenge. I have to write a sign up speech (not really), and WordPress suggested something along the lines of:

I’m Posting every day in 2011!

I’ve decided I want to blog more. Rather than just thinking about doing it, I’m starting right now.  I will be posting on this blog once a day for all of 2011.

I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun, inspiring, awesome and wonderful. Therefore I’m promising to make use of The DailyPost, and the community of other bloggers with similar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.

If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and good will along the way.
